AdventHealth Shawnee Mission , a leading faith based not for profit health system, is searching for a BC/BE Family Medicine physician to work alongside 2 APPs to provide care in the growing area of DeSoto, Kansas located 20 minutes west of Kansas City. The ideal physician would provide care for pediatrics to geriatrics, have experience supervising advanced practice providers, and enjoy practicing in a small-town community with all the amenities of the city close by. Bilingual Spanish would be an added plus.
Our physicians provide outpatient only family medicine and share outpatient call with 12 other physicians which provides for an excellent work life balance. The office has excellent support staff that allows the physician to focus his/her time seeing patients and delivering top notch whole person care, a trademark of AdventHealth.
The newly renovated clinic is modern and up to date with spacious exams rooms and the latest technology.
The physician would be employed by Advent Health Medical Group, a large multispecialty group comprised of around 150 + providers and would have an initial base salary guarantee with a bonus based on productivity. AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is an award winning 504 bed hospital with a Medical Staff of over 700 physicians representing over 50 specialties and subspecialties. The hospital has a level III NICU with 24-hour neonatology coverage and is affiliated with the MD Anderson Cancer Network.
The DeSoto Community is a charming, bedroom community with excellent schools, beautiful outdoor hiking and biking trails with lakes nearby. Within a 20-30 minute drive is access to Kansas City area professional and college sports teams , active arts and entertainment scenes featuring the Kauffman Performing Arts Center and the Nelson Art Gallery, and ample shopping and dining options at the Plaza or Power and Light District not to mention World Class BBQ.
