Professional Engineer

Summary
The primary functions of this position are to perform engineering studies such as; over current protective device coordination, short-circuit, arc flash hazard analysis, protective relay coordination, load flow, transient motor starting study, power quality, & reliability and harmonics studies including low, medium and high voltage power systems in such a manner as to ensure optimal system reliability and support a variety of field functions including data collection, one-line revisions, circuit tracing and electrical system analysis.

Responsibilities
Develops and implements practices that ensure effective completion of area functions.
Coordinates closely with related departments to maintain schedules and effect necessary revisions as required.
Responds in a professional, polite, and helpful manner when dealing with other staff and customers.
Responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing engineering study activities including, but not limited to, designing, budgeting, implementing and managing projects.
Provide direction and coordination of electrical engineering for projects.
Apply design knowledge in medium and low voltage power distribution, grounding, lighting, motor control, variable frequency drive, and misc. equipment specification and selection.
Conduct power studies (over current protective device coordination, short circuit, relay coordination, arc flash, load flow, motor starting and power quality) as required to define the requirements for distribution systems in municipal, government, institutional, commercial and industrial facilities.
Provide input to the initial project schedule and support the regular maintenance of project schedules.
Minimum Requirements

Requirements
PE licensure required.
Secret Security Clearance highly preferred.
Must have a BS degree in Electrical Engineering and experience in conducting electrical power system studies of low and medium voltage systems.
Experience using SKM Power Tools, and ETAP software platforms for engineering studies.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, AutoCAD and Microsoft Project.
Ability to effectively communicate in English both written and orally with managers and clients.
He has also experience to perform study in ETAP, while client has model in SKM and others.
Knowledgeable of current NEC, NFPA-70E, Electrical Classifications, IEEE/ANSI and other applicable current design standards and guidelines.
Must be willing to travel.
