Job Description
Position Summary
Responsible for the management oversight and coordination of the division accounting activities. Controller will be responsible for the integrity of the financial statements, oversight of the internal/external audits, facilitator of the annual planning process, as well as providing ongoing forecasting and analysis of the business.
Essential Duties
* Maintain general ledger integrity and accounting records using GAAP and in compliance with ABM policies and procedures.
* Maintain account reconciliations and reserve balances and make recommendations, as necessary.
* Oversee the monthly close process and issue financial reports along with performing detailed variance analysis for the monthly management reviews.
* Coordinate the preparation and consolidation of the monthly forecasts and annual financial plans.
* Monitor the division accounts receivable activities and assist as necessary in collecting problem accounts.
* Support the quarterly and annual financial audits and other information requests.
* Manage all accounting-related system enhancements within the business.
* Lead the Division SOX team to document processes, coordinate audits (internal, external and tax) and ensure that the appropriate management controls are adhered to.
* Drive process improvements and automation.
* Provide training and support to the operations and sales teams.
* Provide support for all special projects as assigned by the Segment CFO.
* Proven management and leadership experience.
* Solid business system aptitude and the ability to understand and work smoothly within an integrated business system. (Tier one experience is a plus).
* Strong communication and leadership skills.
* Ability to work and interact with departments throughout the organization.
* Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
* Bachelors degree in Accounting or Related Financial Degree is required
* A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting; including time in comparable role.
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, other MS Office application experience preferred.
