Job Summary
The Senior FP&A Analyst will support strategies to help drive increased profitability, process efficiency, reduced costs, and overall business improvement. Partner with leadership to deliver financial and strategic results through utilization of Financial Planning & Analysis best practices. Support corporate FP&A processes, initiatives and reporting within the function.
Primary Responsibilities
* Work with functional leadership to deliver monthly forecasts.
* Collaborate with multiple departments, connecting data from multiple sources, to come up with short term and long-term projections.
* Document and validate forecast assumptions; ensure focus on forecasting accuracy, not under-promise over-deliver.
* Provide recommendations and / or action plan to close gaps.
* Support month-end close and distribute reporting for meetings.
* Work closely with shared service center to ensure seamless flow of information in support of financial close.
* Review revenue and expense trends to ensure completeness and accuracy.
* Help prepare, or coordinate the preparation of, required accruals and reclasses.
* Analyze results; monitor expense drivers, highlighting trends, and underlying causes of variance, with the ability to summarize the information in monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc report outs for management.
* Build out budget timeline, working backwards from region deadlines. Communicate and manage deadlines.
Additional Responsibilities
* Work closely with functional leaders to ensure the completeness and accuracy of budget data entered into Anaplan. Use reports to analyze aggregate data to compare to trends and/or goals.
* Help facilitate reviews of the budget with functional leaders; schedule review meetings, generate and distribute reports, help identify areas of focus.
* Help prepare business cases to validate and support any recommendations for investment and/or material change YoY. Multiple scenario modeling encouraged.
* Drive, and help optimize, results from the various changes in cadence of corporate expenses.
* Develop financial models that provide the business with actionable data in support of decision making, business plans and strategic initiatives.
* Tracking of corporate initiatives and investments as appropriate.
Minimum Requirements
Education, Required Skills & Qualifications
* Bachelors Degree required; Masters Degree preferred. Specialization in Accounting, Business, or Finance
* Minimum at least 6 years of work experience in Accounting / Finance role with a minimum of 3 in a corporate setting or similar, with emphasis on areas such as reporting development, financial planning and analysis, business analytics, and financial modeling.
* Able to perform quantitative analysis using appropriate analytical tools. Requires expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel to develop and troubleshoot reports.
* Strong communication skills, able to independently structure and develop PowerPoint presentations and other business documents for executive audiences.
* Experience utilizing Microsoft Power BI tools, Anaplan model-building
