Manufacturing Machine Technician
$24.15 per hour to start
Opportunities are available on 2nd (3pm-11pm) and 3rd shift (11pm-7am)

Knitting Master Technicians are responsible for troubleshooting and analysing machine conditions, develop solutions and identify the standards and requirements. This position is responsible for supporting the departments operational needs, installation of equipment, maintaining of existing equipment and supporting both operations and engineering teams.

Job Duties:

* Startup, operate, adjust, and monitor production Knitting machines.
* Calibrate or adjust equipment with the use of tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, protractors, and ring gauges.
* Setup and verify the functionality of the equipment to ensure safety and quality
* Provide guidance and training to other technicians or production staff to problem solve.
* Develop, document, and implement machine parameters to accommodate new products, methods, or process standards.
* Identify product defects and resolve problems
* Measure and record data associated with operating equipment
* Troubleshoot poor machine performance and suggest corrective actions
* Update internal reporting systems with proper codes (downtime, jobs, etc.) during changeover or maintenance type processes.
* Perform basic machine repairs and parts replacements
* Performs equipment preventative maintenance
* Conducts equipment audits and inspections
* Work on continual improvement projects with operations and engineering.
* Works independently under general supervision and direction.
* Maintains a clean organized work environment.
* Perform all other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

* High School diploma or equivalent required. A minimum of 2 years in manufacturing required.
* Must have basic mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and/or electrical skills
* Must have comprehensive understanding of mechanical tools to complete required machine tasks
* Requires constant visual attention, ability to discern flaws in manufactured production
* Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (primarily Excel and Word).
* Ability to work in a fast pace environment.
* Ability to follow specific written work instructions and record data and information.
* Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
