Our facility at the Stennis Space Center in Mississippi seeks a HVAC Technician to join our mission. Virtually every Space mission success starts with a strong foundation of facility infrastructure maintenance performed risk free in support of business needs without interruption. In this role, you will have the opportunity to use your education and experience to take on formidable challenges and become an integral part of our team as we maintain state of the art engineering facilities and ensure the reliability of mechanical infrastructure that produces cutting edge space systems. In this role, your duties will be those of a multi-skilled maintenance mechanic with particular focus on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) in assigned buildings across the campus.
Summary of Key Duties: In this role you will
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs to chemical processing equipment and systems
Install, service, modify, rebuild, and repair air conditioning and refrigeration systems and equipment in an industrial or commercial establishment in accordance with applicable building codes and safety regulations
Perform periodic inspection to locate and determine cause of equipment malfunction as well as conduct maintenance programs to prevent failure of such equipment as centrifugal compressors, electric controls, evaporative condensers, pumps, fans, and heating equipment
Charge air-conditioning systems with refrigerant; check and test for leaks; set and adjust controls and regulators; fabricate and install duct work; and overhaul equipment
Service, modify, and maintain centralized HVAC computer systems and make program corrections
Possibly be required to install and maintain high-technology clean room environments

Basic Qualifications:
Specialized training in HVAC installation and servings and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned tasks
3 years of HVAC experience minimum
Experience analyzing data to develop recommendations
Ability to use computers and other systems to access, maintain, manipulate data
Must be a United States citizen
Desired Skills:
Experience dismantling, moving, assembling, installing, and repairing industrial machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, drawings, or verbal instructions
