The ideal candidates primary responsibilities will be capturing and editing still photographic and video activities in support of various Lockheed Martin products and sites. Photography assignments will include covering flight test operations, program milestone events, site events, award ceremonies, portraits, and other activities. Videography duties will include covering flight test activities, product documentation, events, training, interviews, videos for presentations, and moderately complex storytelling projects. Pre-production duties include determination of concept, theme, and budget based on client interface. Must have a detailed working knowledge of non-linear video editing equipment and working within a file-based video environment.
Required to have a general knowledge of camera applications, location lighting, and related audio equipment. Prior aerial photo/video experience a big plus including air-to-air and ground-to-air aircraft capture. Experience with either Nikon or Canon high megapixel professional still photographic equipment. Experience with live webcast video camera operation a plus. Applicant will be required to stay abreast of emerging trends with cameras, editing software and hardware, including lighting and grip equipment. Frequent domestic travel and frequent overtime work may be required. Applicant needs to be physically agile and mobile, creative, have effective communication skills (written and oral), exhibit project and schedule flexibility and work efficiently with team members and customers. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Portfolio required for consideration.
Basic Qualifications:
Must be a US Citizen or legally authorized to work in US as a permanent resident. Applicant must be skilled with various kinds of professional video and DSLR cameras, including Sony, Nikon and Canon. Knowledge of still photography techniques using a variety of natural and artificial light sources. Experience with studio and location lighting and audio production.

Strong understanding of shot composition for video.

Strong understanding of visual storytelling.

Strong understanding of video editing software and creative desktop applications.

Willingness to maintain a fluid work schedule and work non-regular schedule when needed to achieve business objectives.

Discretion, situational awareness, and tactfulness when working around senior management.

Portfolio required for consideration.
Desired Skills:
- Advanced photo editing skills using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Camera RAW, Bridge, Lightroom)
- Creative videography, advanced video editing skills (Adobe Premiere Pro)
- Working knowledge of Nikon/Canon DSLR, Sony, GoPro equipment
- Understanding capturing and editing assets for social media
- Air-to air video/photo experience
- Drone operator license and experience
- Experience working within a file-based photo and video environment. Knowledge of data storage devices (memory cards, hard drives, etc.).
- Understanding of video and audio formats and associated codecs technology
- Effectively interprets needs and develops creative/technical solutions
- Capable of balancing a projects creative requirements with schedule, budget, and resource limitations
- Consistently meets postproduction deadlines creating artful and impactful video
- Ability to take direction well and request information or ask questions when needed
