This is an exciting opportunity to join the Rotary and Mission Systems engineering team in Baltimore, MD supporting Systems Engineering tasks for Launchers & Weapons programs. This position will be Senior Systems Engineer. We have launching system programs in all stages of the development lifecycle, so the person in this position will be responsible for system and sub-system requirement definition for new programs, translating customer requirements to lower level specifications, definition of software/hardware requirements, development of Interface Design Specifications and Interface Control Documents, and maintaining product specifications in DOORS. The candidate in this position will be involved in requirements engineering development, allocation, and requirement verification traceability. The candidate for this position should have experience with technical problem-solving skills; ability to see the big picture; ability to conceptualize, develop, and implement solutions; and ability to partner well with internal and external organizations including the product owner and scrum master; and understanding of the system architectures and how different pieces fit together.
Experience working with the US Navy surface warfare engineering community is a plus, but not required.

This position requires:

Basic Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in systems, aerospace, or electrical engineering; math; physics; computer science; or equivalent degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with systems engineering in complex defense programs.

Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with US military standards for engineering design and production.
- Familiarity with MK41 Vertical Launch System (VLS)
