General Summary:
The successful candidate will work to leverage the Marsh producer network and targeted individual prospects to help drive revenue to the practice from initial prospecting through to solution design and launch. The position will require a unique combination of the ability to qualify warranty prospects; drive interpersonal professional relationships with colleagues, prospects, and markets; and perform in a solution-selling manner to effectively deliver and implement those solutions with our chosen markets. This will require a deep understanding of the warranty space.
Essential Functions:
The (VP, SVP) of Warranty Solutions Development will be responsible for driving the introduction of, sales of, and the development and execution of warranty solutions to our prospects and clients. It will also include collaborative support of the warranty practice team with assistance in developing proposals, and other areas of support. This can include a myriad of essential duties including:
* Work with team to establish and maintain the Sales Strategy for the practice
* Work internal (with Client Executives and colleagues) and external leads and opportunities through sales cycle
* Participate in joint calls with Marsh colleagues and Marsh clients to outline the Practice value proposition, establish credibility, perform needs analysis and deliver solution concepts in the sales process
* Develop a strong understanding of the prospects business, strategic priorities, risk strategies and risk management needs around the warranty business and develop innovative approaches to meet those unique needs
* Develop and execute Market Submissions and/or full Requests for Proposal (RFPs) with selected warranty markets for the development of client warranty solutions
* Execute on the Warranty Practice 5 stages of services: Program Diagnostics, Brokerage, Digital Enablement, Program Management, and Analytics
* Create and participate in presentations, proposals, research and other development work as directed by the practice leader
* Establish and cultivate beneficial and productive relationships with carriers, administrators, marketing, and digital enablement firms
* Post sales process be adept at delivering on certain client diagnostics analysis around pricing, risk model, contracting, customer service flows, and other warranty-specific areas of program consulting and be able to oversee the implementation of those solutions between a new client and chosen warranty provider
* High level analysis of certain actuarial and analytical aspects of a prospects or clients warranty book of business
* Ability to understand and dissect complex services agreements and statements of work between our clients and warranty providers
* Work closely with our digital team on innovative solutions that entangle Marsh into opportunities with digital capabilities based on the Marsh Bluestream platform
Qualifications:
* BA/BS Degree
* Licensed P&C Broker
* Has at least 10 years of professional warranty industry work experience with a focus on sales, product development, and executive management relationships.
* Operates with discretion, uses effective problem solving & communication skills to achieve objectives.
* Possesses solid sales, product development, servicing and analytical analysis skills.
* Possesses deep knowledge of warranty risk issues and Marsh solutions.
* Can work independently towards the practice goals
* Understands underwriting approach and needs within the warranty industry
* Has a working knowledge of the compliance and regulation landscape of warranty programs in the 50 US states.
* Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with external clients and internal team members at all levels
* Strong organization, planning and time management skills
* Ability to perform under deadline pressure in a fast-paced environment with multi-tasking capabilities
* Perform effectively when changes in priorities, direction and resources occur.
* Knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of insurance industry.
