As a Global Quality (GQ) Product Quality and Reliability Assurance (PQRA) Electromagnetic Compliance (EMC)/Input Output Capacitance (IOCAP) Technician at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for testing various device types and analyzing and reporting results. You will research vendors, select test beds based on device capability, design printed circuit boards (PCBs) based on device capability, and build test fixtures to meet customer needs. In this role you will work with external customers to plan for and support compliance testing, and with various engineering groups to design and schedule non-standard tests and provide analysis. You will also modify PCBs, maintain equipment, and contribute to documentation and training for the department.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Test product for EMC
* Prepare various device types for testing
* Prepare the measurement environment
* Perform required testing
* Conduct initial analysis of test results
* Design and schedule non-standard testing based on customer requests
Test product for IOCAP
* Track product throughout test flow
* Prepare various device types for testing

Determine and Acquire Appropriate Test Bed
* Communicate with appropriate group to understand the device capability
* Research different vendors to meet the device needs
* Select test bed and submit purchasing request
* Verify functionality of incoming test beds
* Add new test beds to inventory
Design and Acquire PCB for IOCAP Testing
* Communicate with appropriate group to understand the device capability
* Design PCB to meet the device needs
* Request quotes and submit purchasing request
Report Formal Test Results
* Organize test data
* Generate reports and provide analysis
* Verify reports written by others
Design and Build Test Fixtures
* Analyze customer needs
* Obtain required build materials
* Fabricate the fixture
Oversee External Compliance Testing
* Pack and ship device and test bed equipment to external customer
* Unpack and inspect device and equipment at destination
* Verify functionality
* Support testing and troubleshoot problems
Coordinate/Perform Equipment Calibration and Maintenance
* Verify equipment functionality
* Perform preventive maintenance
* Take down and restore equipment to service
* Send equipment out for third-party calibration
* Record equipment performance data
Modify Rework PCBs
* Identify components from drawings or based on measurement results
* Solder or de-solder components
* Modify the PCB
Provide Training and Documentation
* Onboard and train new hires
* Document area processes and procedures
* Develop or manage a document control system
* Schedule documents for periodic review
Qualifications:
* 1 year experience in any of the following: electronics, automated test/debug equipment
* Associates Degree or equivalent experience in electronics
