Your Role and Responsibilities
THINK has been IBM's slogan for over a century and now IBM is looking for a self-motivated talent who will THINK and bring innovation to the technologies being developed by IBM. You will start their journey as a Full Stack Developer Co-Op and will be paired with a team of experienced security developers and architects to identify, improve, and solve security challenges within IBM Finance and Operation domain. The Co-op openings are for 6 months employment (Jan- Jun 2021 or June-Dec 2021).

Job Responsibilities include:

* Work with stakeholders and others in a multidisciplinary team to define requirements and develop the end to end solution
* Be responsible for the full DevOps implementation of Production ready code from inception through delivery and production readiness.
* Practice the Agile methodology of software delivery, where your team will completely rely on all team members. Therefore, every team member will be performing all tasks in the day in the life of software delivery. This includes daily stand-ups, iteration planning, and retrospectives.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
* Currently pursuing a college degree in Computer Science or in another closely related degree program.
* Knowledge and/or experience in software development.
* Good understanding for algorithms and data structures.
* Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities.
* Strong communication skills written and oral.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
* Full-stack development experience (using frameworks such as React, AngularJS and NodeJS).
* Hands on experience with object-oriented programming languages (Python, Scala & JavaScript).
* Experience with Cloud base architecture (for example: [IBM Cloud or AWS development).
* Experience with software development cycle.
* Exposure to Agile development methodologies.
* Basic understanding of security by design.
* Experience in documentation and technical writing.
* Eager to learn, adopt and understand latest technologies such Cloud, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
* Willingness to take the ownership of challenges and take them from one level to another.
