FUNCTION PURPOSE:
Technical specialist engineer in assigned discipline, offering deep level of knowledge about key technologies that are aligned with strategic growth initiatives of the business in the assigned regional market(s): electrostatic desalting technologies (Brownfield - US refinery) and process separation technologies (Brownfield US offshore).
FUNCTION DIMENSION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Main Accountabilities:
* Have specialist knowledge in the assigned discipline(s), and be committed to continuous learning of the targeted subject areas
* Together with PLMs and APT Directors develop/improve products and solutions according to local market needs and opportunities
* Support BD&S team members in client meetings/communications as required
* Together with Tender make competitive commercial technical offers with technology which is fit for purpose and not taking unacceptable level of risk to NOV
* Provide time efficient and quality response to clients and P&L centers in commercial projects
* Provide time efficient and quality response to technology development projects
* Execute feasibility studies / conceptual design / process studies or input to these for assigned discipline.
* Acknowledge shortcomings and discrepancies in work processes and provide recommendations for improvement as part of no fault commitment to continuous improvement of the business
* Strong knowledge of competitor technology and/or execution approach for assigned technology
* Strong knowledge on industry standards for assigned discipline
* Execute technology strategy in collaboration with Regional Director and supporting APT Director(s)
* Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and development of training for others (organized and ad-hoc)

FORMAL COMPETENCE AND EXPERIENCE:
* Master of Applied Science/Engineering (minimum), or similar
* 7+ years relevant industry experience, including tendering and project execution/fabrication
* Deep knowledge of technology, commercial aspects, market and competitors
