As a Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE), you will be developing and sustaining systems using current technologies and others yet to come. Northrop Grumman 39;s Space Systems Sector is seeking applicants for a position on the Sustainment and Modernization of Radar Sensors (SMORS) program as an MBSE. This position will be located in Colorado Springs, CO, and some minimal travel may be required.

What You rsquo;ll Get to Do:

* Learn Northrop Grumman MBSE techniques and best practices for creating descriptive models of legacy large scale ground based radar systems.
* Architect descriptive system models in UAFP, SysML, and UML using MBSE tools to define interfaces, logical and physical structures, and behaviors while generating DoDAF viewpoints for the Ballistic Early Warning System/PAVE Phased Warning System (BMEWS/PAVE PAWS) and Perimeter Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization System (PARCS) radar systems.
* Support and engage in requirements development and functional allocation to hardware, software, operator and other segments and components of the ground based radar weapon systems
* Support and engage across SMORS Engineering and Agile teams by utilizing and teaching MBSE techniques and best practices.

Qualification

Basic Qualifications:

* Education/Experience: Bachelor rsquo;s degree in a STEM discipline with 2 years of applicable experience; or 0 years experience with a Master rsquo;s degree.
* Ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance
* Demonstrated communication skills and ability to learn new tools and processes quickly
* Proficiency in MS Office
* Experience developing system descriptive models using UPDM, UAFP, UML, and/or SysML

Preferred Qualifications:

* Active DoD Secret clearance or above
* Experience in Systems Engineering
* Experience with Agile workflows
* Experience with PTC Integrity Modeler
* Familiarity with the DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) 2.0
* Experience with DOORS requirements management tool
* Familiarity with the Ballistic Missile Early Warning System (BMEWS) Precision Acquisition Vehicle Entry (PAVE) Phased Array Warning System (PAWS) (BPP) or other ground-based radars such as the Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization System (PARCS)
