Job Description
This role is the IT Solution Design Lead for Manufacturing Planning and scheduling solution as it relates to the global processes defined by the PepsiCo Global Template (PGT). Ability to provide IT knowledge to enable common global designs, data, reporting and analytics and support the delivery and governance of PGT solution capabilities. This role will adopt and adhere to PepsiCos SAFe agile principles.
In-depth understanding of rough-cut manufacturing planning and detailed scheduling is required to evaluate business problem statement, analyze, articulate and lead in the end to end solution build and governance of core manufacturing planning and scheduling processes
Additional Responsibilities:
* Maintain and Load Production Master Data
* Perform Production Planning and Scheduling
* Publish Rough cut and Detailed Schedule Production Plan for downstream Planning & Operational Execution
* Review/Evaluate Detailed Schedule Production Plan
* Integration with downstream and upstream planning/execution systems
* Act as the Manufacturing Planning and Scheduling IT Lead for architecting and governing solutions being delivered within the end to end process
* Conduct business and IT workshops to understand the end to end business process requirements for rough-cut production planning and scheduling, articulate and propose the best possible solution
* Identify gaps, design & develop the solutions as required to enhance PGT solution capabilities across all in-scope PepsiCo markets and sectors
* Drive completion of key project activities in collaboration with the Demand, Inventory Optimization, Supply and Response, Replenishment IT Solution Design Leads and business partners
* Act as an advocate of change
* Understand process interdependencies and ensure the design of fully integrated process solutions with other process teams such as Make to Deploy, Procure to Pay and Order to Cash
* The primary point of contact across the PBNA organization for the overall status of the IT Production Planning Detailed Scheduling workstream i.e. the go-to person
* Collaborate with Global Process Owners, Global Process Leads, Solution Design Leads and Value Stream Leads on issue resolution and process design recommendations
* Escalate appropriate decisions making requirements or process choice points to Global Process Owner
Qualifications/Requirements
* Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required
* 10+ years of experience configuring, deploying and managing SAP APO and ERP with a focus on Production planning and scheduling
* 2+ years of IBP and SAP S4 experience preferred
* IT experience in solutions for production planning and scheduling
* Experience in Demand and Supply Planning solution evaluations and application in planning and scheduling processes
* Familiar with direct material procurement, production and inventory management, demand planning and forecasting processes
* Understanding master data needed for production planning and scheduling processes
* Experience with planning and forecasting for large projects and programs
* 3+ years of project/program experience
* IT leadership experience with supply planning projects
* Knowledge and experience in the following tools, disciplines and processes are nice to have: SAP SolMan 7+, Azure Dev Ops, Quality Center and MS Project
* Solves highly complex problems within their work team
* Strong influencing, facilitating and consulting skills in working with stakeholders at all levels in the organization and across departments
* Experience with TCP, DRP, MPS as roles within the business
* Experience in cross-functional roles preferred
