Role Summary

This is a new global role within the GBS Financial Services team and is responsible for leading and driving end to end global process strategy, innovation and measurement of the Record to Report process. Role is accountable for delivering standardization, optimization and governance for an organizational Record to Report footprint of approximately 600 colleagues delivering accounting, financial reporting and close activities for Pfizer. Successful candidate will have a central role in both critical operational, financial, and transformation decision making (and execution) and coordination for managing E2E process governance and driving strategic and tactical globalization of enterprise processes and systems.

This role will report to the VP, Site Leader & R2R Global Process Owner based in Tampa, FL.

* Global owner for process design & architecture and performance management y for delivery of Record to Report organizational objectives; responsible for developing and delivering on global process strategic transformation.

* Develop and lead achievement of robust global process objectives in alignment with associated budget commitments and business case results

* Lead the identification, development and execution of digital strategies that standardize, innovate and optimize the R2R process

* Proactively monitor cross-functional and enterprise wide initiatives that impact people, processes and technology related to the operations of the R2R process and develop recommendations for the GPO to ensure alignment, maintain agility and mitigate disruption.

* Manage the relationship with key stakeholders including, but not limited to Controllers, Commercial Finance, Digital, Enabling Finance, Treasury, Global Tax, Corporate Audit and PGS Finance identifying opportunities for collaboration and ensuring improvements are actively sought and implemented.

* Collaborate relentless with other functional Global Process Owners, Global Process Leads and FS&C site leads ensuring global alignment of priorities

* Create a culture focused on continuous improvement, internal controls and compliance; lead the maintenance of an effective internal control structure ensuring compliance with Pfizer policy and US GAAP, while proactively managing existing and new risk

* Anticipate changes to the operating and service delivery models ensuring process and organizational changes proactively reflect those risks

* Lead benchmarking activities and continuous assessment of global process performance measures. Establish cross functional guidelines on global process standards.

Qualifications

Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

* BS Degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or other business related field required

* Minimum 10 years experience of accounting or finance experience required in a Corporate Finance, Shared Service, or Public Accounting environment

* Accounting Certification ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent strongly preferred; MBA preferred

* Experience working across multiple levels (including executive level) and function

* Demonstrated experience managing accounting and/or finance teams in a complex and global environment

* Strong business acumen and professionalism with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues in all functions and levels

* Ability to work in a high-performing team environment; demonstrated strong leadership in an increasingly complex and fast-moving environment

* Proven ability to execute large scale strategies and global projects while meeting and/or exceeding customers expectations

* Experience/background in evaluating business risk and implementing financial controls

* BPO Management experience

* Candidate should expect average to above average travel to other locations depending on project activities and related requirements to support activities, including business meetings and workshops.
