Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Operate order pickers, forklifts, turret trucks, and other equipment to handle product movement
* Load and unload incoming freight onto or off of trucks as required
* Verifying correct quantity and correct part of incoming deliveries and receive product into system
* Perform put-away function of all received product into location & system
* Pick work orders or sales orders and deliver to correct staging areas
* Pack parcels and pallets as required and prepare them for shipment
* Perform kitting, assembly, weighing, or production machine operation as required
* Perform cycle counts as required
* Deal with deadline oriented work and work in multiple departments daily as required
* Work safely every day and keep all work areas clean and organized.
* All other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.

Specific Scope Data

Due to serving critical customers must be able to work overtime (early or late or weekend) based on business needs. Prior notice will be given when possible

* Position to support and help push to achieve all Key Business Goals for the business which include but are not limited to: Safety, Quality, Customer Delivery, Customer Allegiance Score, and PPI & Productivity Savings.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

* High School education or equivalent.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities necessary to perform essential functions

* Must be able to work well within a Team and be a self-starter
* Willing and able to work at heights including an order picker and turret truck
* Must possess strong organizational skills, mathematical, and problem solving skills
* Knowledge of general business computer software and aptitude to learn new software applications
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines
* Ability to communicate openly and honestly
* Must be able to work overtime (early or late) based on business needs.

This position interacts daily with the Order Processors (in-person), Quality department (in-person), Customer Service department (phone), and all other internal departments and members of the Rockwood Leadership Team.
