CHICK COUNTER

* RESPONSIBLE FOR PUTTING 100 BIRDS IN A BOX
* RESPONSIBLE FOR CULLING AND SENDING DOWN TICKETS
* CALCULATING NUMBERS TOGETHER AND RECORDING WITH EACH MACHINE AND FLOCK NUMBERS.
* MUST KEEP AN EYE ON THE BOX STORAGE ROOM AND BOX WASH ROOM TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS RUNNING PROPERLY.
* RESPONSIBILE FOR CLEANING MACHINES AND YOUR EQUIPMENT

SEPARATOR ROOM

* LISTEN AND WATCH EACH MACHINE
* DETECT DIFFERENT SOUNDS THAT ARE NOT NORMAL (BELT RUBBING, A CHAIN LOSS, AND AIR LEAKS, ETC)
* LOOK OVER THE MACHINE BEFORE STARTING UP.
* ENSURE HE/SHE HAS THE RIGHT MACHINE WITH THE RIGHT BIRDS
* RESPONSIBLE FOR MAKING SURE THE BIRDS ARE RAN ACCORDING TO HATCH SHEET
* RESPONSIBLE FOR MAKING SPLITS ARE SPLIT ACCORDING TO THE HATCH SHEET AS WELL
* RESPONSIBLE FOR CLEANING MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT!

TRAY RE-STACK ROOM

* LISTEN AND WATCH EACH MACHINE FOR ANY UNORDINARY SOUNDS OR ACTION. NORMAL (BELT RUBBING, A CHAIN LOSS, AND AIR LEAKS, ETC)
* INSPECT ALL MACHINERY BEFORE STARTING FOR DAILY PROCESS.
* ENSURE THE CORRECT TYPE AND AMOUNT OF SANITIZER IS BEING USED FOR THE TRAY WASH DIP TANK.
* INSPECT ALL TRAYS DISPENSED TO ENSURE THEY ARE BEING WASHED EFFECTIVELY.
* SPRAY ALL BUGGIES/TRAYS WITH DISINFECTANT AND STACK NEATLY IN THE STORAGE AREA.

PROCESSSING SUPPORT

* ASSIST MACHINE OPERATORS WITH CHICK HANDLING AND OPERATION.
* ENSURE ALL CHICK DOLLEYS ARE LOADED SAFELY AND SECURE WITH THE CORRECT NUMBER OF CHICKS.
* TRANSPORT ALL CHICKS TO THE SEPARATOR ROOM IN A SAFE AND TIMELY MANNER.
* WASH AND SANITIZE ALL DESIGNATED AREAS AFTER CHICK PROCESSING IS COMPLETE AND PREPARE THE WORK AREA FOR THE FOLLOWING DAY.
* ASSIST WITH ANY OTHER GENERAL DAILY TASKS WITHIN THE HATCHERY WHICH MAY INCLUDE LOADING/UNLOADING EGGS OR CHICKS, CLEANING SETTERS/HATCHERS, CLEANING MACHINERY, BUFFING FLOORS, ETC.
* LOOK FOR ANY REPAIRS NEEDED AND NOTIFY MANAGEMENT OR MAINTENANCE IMMEDIATLEY.

UTILITIES

* ENSURE ALL SETTERS AND HATCHERS ARE RUNNING CORRECTLY DURING HOURLY TEMPERATURE CHECKS AND NOTIFY MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT IF NEEDED.
* DETECT AND REPAIR ANY POSSIBLE WATER LEAKS OR PEROXIDE LEAKS INSIDE SETTERS/HATCHERS.
* ASSIST ANY MACHINE OPERATOR IN ORDER TO EFFICIENTLY PROCESS CHICKS.
* HAVE A GENERAL UNDERSTANDING OF EACH PROCESSING MACHINE AND HOW TO OPERATE THEM.

This position is responsible for performing various hatchery tasks while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
