Location: Blairsville Hatchery Blairsville, GA Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday including holidays

Hours: 7:00 AM until the job is complete. Averages 8 hours per shift.

Work schedule is subject to change upon production needs.

Starting Wage: $13.60

Pay Increase at 6 months: $15.30

Position Summary:

* This position is responsible for traying and pre-warming eggs, breakouts, weighing eggs, and making sure the setters are properly trayed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Place hatching eggs in properly labeled buggies (40%).
* Place trayed eggs in the pre-warm room and into the setters (10%).
* Weigh and candle eggs as well as record breakouts (20%).
* Clean and sanitize the egg rooms (10%).
* Assist egg truck driver during pickups and deliveries (10%).
* Operate a high-pressure hose to clean and sanitize the egg room and maintain a clean and organized work area (10%).
* TSA: Must agree to submit to a Security Threat Assessment

Biosecurity/Animal Welfare Requirements/Safety

* The jobsite is a bio-secure environment which requires showering, changing clothing and footwear before entering the facility. Appropriate clothing and footwear are provided by the Company. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except for medical ID jewelry and body piercings covered by appropriate clothing. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.). Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

* Physical: Must use safe lifting techniques. Must regularly pull empty farm and setter buggies on casters weighing approximately 200 pounds. Must regularly dump cull eggs weighing approximately 12 pounds. Must regularly push/pull setter buggies on casters weighing up to 700-1300 pounds. Must regularly lift chick boxes weighing approximately 2 pounds. Must be able to regularly bend, stoop and reach above head. Must be able to obtain scissor lift certification. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand majority of shift (concrete floor); walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision; distance vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus.
* Tools and Equipment: High pressure water hose, squeegee.
* Environment: Required to work on wet, slippery surfaces and in hot, dry, dusty, wet and cold environments.
* Personal Protective Equipment Required: Safety glasses, Safety goggles, face shield, chemical gloves, waterproof apron, ear plugs and rubber boots are required. NIOSH approved N95 particulate respirators will be worn as needed.
* Chemicals Commonly Used: Disinfectants and foamers.
* Safety: TM is expected to follow all applicable safety policies and procedures. These include but are not limited to Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, LOTO and Personal Protective Equipment. TM is expected to identify, address and mitigate safety related risks.
* Qualified applicant must have at least 6 months of work experience with one employer over the past 3 years with no gaps in employment of over 6 months. (Exceptions are made for layoffs, attending school, or the birth of a child)

* Candidates must reside in Union, Fannin, Rabun Towns County in GA and Cherokee and Clay in NC.

* Candidates with agricultural or production experience will be preferred
