Job Description
Outstanding opportunity for a talented Inventory Control Lead (Mgr. I, Plan Production Control) to take on responsibility for a high visibility, centralized functional organization.
The Inventory Control Team is responsible for the management of $800M+ of inventory spread across all IDS sites. As the Inventory Control Lead (Manager I Plan Production Control) youre the head of this centralized functional organization and will be responsible for multiple Inventory Management processes including cycle count processes, and oversight of material reviews in the warehouse. Youll also be responsible for developing and managing a team of support personnel who resolve inventory system-related issues. This is a highly collaborative role that will partner with production control, warehouse operations, receiving, shipping, planning and other operational organizations.
Responsibilities will include:
Ability to read situations and make quick and logical decisions founded on MRP/ERP principles and broad understanding of the end-to-end supply chain value stream
* Ability to support training and understanding of concepts across the team
Daily activity will require excellent analytic skills, in order to analyze inventory management issues, working to determine root cause, and develop corrective actions; develop skills and analytic capability in the Inventory Control organization
Conduct inventory management analysis and identify improvement opportunities by assessing current processes/practices
Identify and lead continuous improvement projects with regards to inventory management
Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, industry practices, and standards related to inventory management through MRP/ERP system
Required Skills:
6+ years experience in a Supply Chain or Operations environment
Management experience in a Planning or Supply Chain or Inventory Management environment.
Experience interfacing with all levels of internal management and external customers such as DCAA, DCMA.
Strong MRP/ERP skills such as SAP or equivalent system
Desired Skills:
APICS CSCP or equivalent required
Leadership, team building and facilitation skills across various functions
Demonstrated skills in influence and presence with business leadership
Experience interfacing with government auditors
Highly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Required Education
Bachelors degree
