SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for performing a variety of technical, analytical, and professional job responsibilities related to managing consistent food safety and quality programs at ALL internal and external manufacturing facilities. This position will provide support to the internal and external manufacturing FSQA leadership team by analyzing data, producing detailed reports, and make recommendations to help make decisions around quality and/or food safety concerns.

Specific responsibilities will include:

* Supporting the assessment of the ongoing ability of both internal and external manufacturing locations to produce safe, wholesome, and quality products while conforming with to Tyson and other regulatory requirements.
* This position will also be directly responsible for technology assessment and process development related to foreign material control, technological capability and successful implementation of technologies across Prepared Foods.
* Additionally, the position will assist in documenting and approving specification deviations, problem solving potential food safety or quality issues, maintaining holds and releases, reviewing and approving specification, and auditing plant performance.
* This person will also support innovation and other product development projects as needed.
* Other specific responsibilities include assisting with developing and maintaining performance metrics, consumer complaint management and investigation, and special projects as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

* Evaluate and implement technologies (optical imaging, x-ray, PLC data recovery and analysis) across Tyson Prepared Foods in alignment with the organizations strategic plan.
* Proficient with product and processing technologies, food protections, and data system management.
* Proficient in food manufacturing equipment & packaging processes. Ability to work cross-functionally with supply chain engineering on capital projects involving implementation of technological solutions.

Education: Bachelors degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: 3+ years of experience with significant experience in food safety, quality assurance, and management of high-risk foods. Project management and Supply Chain problem solving experience is preferred.

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft products including; Excel, Word, Power Point, and other analytical data systems. Must have the ability to be able to understand and work in multiple business systems with proficiency, Prior experience with SAP or similar ERP preferred.

Communication Skills: Strong communication skills both written and verbal. Strong presentation skills required. Position will be required to present to external partners and as well as Sr. Leadership within Tyson. Position will present both technical data, statistical and graphical information, and root cause problem solving documentation with preventive measures.

Special Skills: Must have good problem-solving ability as well as critical thinking skills. This person must be able to work and travel independently as well as collaboratively with a team. Must be willing to become a technical expert in a variety of production environments as well as reporting systems.

Travel: Approximately 40%. This can fluctuate based on need and/or project load. This could include weekends.
