This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Must be willing to use basic hand tools. Basic mechanical or maintenance skills, knowledge in areas of welding, hydraulics, basic electricity, power transmission, pneumatics & plumbing, welding, able to read & understand assignments, able to communicate orally & in writing, willing to hear/respond to two-way radio, willing to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs 120 feet and ladders up to 60 feet, willing to stand for long periods of time, withstand extreme hot, cold, inclement weather & odors, willing able to use various electrical & pneumatic power tools & equipment.
Must be willing to learn Tyson software to make work orders and fill out the daily documentation that is required in the system. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Willing to further education by outside training, company testing program & vendor training. Any applicant meeting minimum requirements may be contacted for an interview.
Must have a minimum of (2) years of mechanical work experience documented in the work history section of the application or a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program. (Can be a combination of employers as long as experience is at least 2 years.)
