Responsibilities

Central Florida Behavioral Hospital is a 174-bed, private psychiatric center located in Orlando, FL. Central Florida Behavioral Hospital offers a full continuum of care including inpatient treatment services for children, adolescents and adults; and partial hospitalization, intensive out-patient and ECT services for adults.

Unit Registered Nurse

The Unit Nurse is responsible for the delivery of quality nursing care for all patients on the Child, Adolescent and Adult Units. The Nurse is in charge of the unit activities for each shift. The Nurse supervises the Mental Health Techs working on the unit, administers prescribed medications and provides medication and other educational groups.

Essential Job Duties:

* Admission Assessments
* Patient Assessments and Re-assessments
* Medication management and Administration
* Patient Behavioral and Milieu Management
* Facilitation of medication and nursing groups
* Documentation in the Medical Record

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

* Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
* Prefer one (1) year experience as a Registered Nurse. Prefer six (6) months in psychiatric nursing.
* Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida.
* Current CPR Certification required.
