Your Responsibilities

As an Infrastructure Engineer II you will be responsible for the planning and implementation of changes to the Global SQL Server Databases and systems within established processes. The role will provide support and maintenance by planning work and coordination with others to deliver functionality. In this role you will be responsible to identify and implement modernization and automation ideas.

Major Duties:

 Providing Administration for Global SQL Server Databases and Systems

 Implementing Version upgrades, automation and continuous improvement projects
 Performing root cause analysis for problems and Incidents.
 Ensure availability, stability, and integrity of database systems
 Providing oncall support in defined time window on a rotational basis

What Skills You Need

 Hands on experience in SQL Server Database Administration, Azure, Azure Arc, HADR and PowerShell
 Hands on experience on Windows administration and Powershell scripting
 Experience as Core SQL Server DBA
 Good analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot production issues
 Demonstrated passion for technical learning and implementing ideas leading to Automations and process improvements
 Good Communication Skills

What Makes You Stand Out

 8 or more years of experience in Information Technology
 6 or more years of experience in handling SQL Server Databases, Azure
 2 or more years of experience working in an Agile environment
 2 or more years of experience in managing support, requests, and incidents
 Experience as Oracle database administrator
 Experience working in a team environment and supporting team members
 Demonstrated passion for technical learning and identifying areas for Innovation and Automation

Education (or equivalent work experience)

Degree in Information Technology discipline or equivalent experience. University Degree (4 years or equivalent)
Certification in SQL Database Administration
