Position Summary...

What you'll do...

* Installs, maintains, and ensures the operational functionality of life safety and security systems under the guidance of security system technicians by diagnosing and repairing electronic life safety monitoring systems across various work units (for example, Walmart business units, corporate facilities, stores); providing assistance in ensuring code compliance of life safety and security systems; training associates on proper system operation; researching, identifying, recommending, and implementing process improvements and system upgrades; analyzing corrective action results; and reporting findings to senior management.

* Assists in installing, maintaining and ensuring Life Safety and Security Systems are operational and compliant by diagnosing and repairing electronic life safety monitoring systems across various work units (for example, Walmart business units, corporate facilities, stores); training other Associates for systems compliance and operational function; analyzing corrective action results; reporting findings to senior management; researching and analyzing potential improvement processes and practices; recommending and implementing approved process improvement; and assisting other Associates implement technical improvement processes and practices.

* Assists security system technicians with administrative and maintenance responsibilities by staying current on emails; filing job detail reports, time sheets, expense reports, fire alarm inspection reports, and truck inventory reports; ensuring accuracy of expenditures; demonstrating and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures for vehicle cleaning and maintenance; and assisting technicians to maintain appropriate equipment inventory levels.

* Assists in ensuring code compliance by achieving, maintaining, and enforcing all required licenses and certifications for national electrical and fire codes for local, state, and federal regulations (for example low voltage license, fire alarm license, National Institute Certifying Engineering Technology (NICET) certification, National Burglar and Fire Alarm Association (NBFAA) training, National Electric Code (NEC), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 72, NFPA 731 and NFPA 101).

* Provides customer service to multiple stakeholders (for example, Associates, vendors, suppliers) by tracking, managing, and adapting performance; developing, supporting, and guiding associates decision-making and actions; identifying security system upgrades; assisting associates meet stakeholder needs; and obtaining and integrating necessary resources for daily operational execution to meet and exceed stakeholder needs and expectations.

* Learns daily administrative and maintenance responsibilities from security system technicians by staying current on emails; filing daily job detail reports, weekly time sheets, weekly expense reports, fire alarm inspection reports, store maps, quarterly truck inventory; ensuring correct expenditures; watching truck maintenance, servicing, and cleaning; and assisting with equipment inventory levels Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.

* Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities. Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.

Walmart Inc. is an American multinational retail corporation that operates a chain of hypermarkets, discount department stores, and grocery stores. Headquartered in Bentonville, Arkansas, the company was founded by Sam Walton in 1962 and incorporated on October 31, 1969. It also owns and operates Sam's Club retail warehouses.
