Enterprise Function Technology (EFT) is seeking a Database Developer/Engineer that acts in the highest-level technical role as an individual contributor for the most complex computer applications and/or application initiatives in the Tax technology space. The engineer has a thorough understanding of available technology, tools, and existing designs. Works on the most complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of intangible variance factors. Plans, performs, and acts as the escalation point for the most complex platform designs, coding, and testing. Leads most complex multiple modeling, simulations, and analysis efforts. Immediate focus areas of this position will include but not limited to the following:
1.) Knowledge of Tax on-boarding, withholding and reporting solutions and industry standards that require extensive integration between people, process and technology.
2.) Design data models to translate business requirements to logical and physical database structures.
3.) Design and develop large scale data warehouse/relational architectures, optimize and tune queries to improve performance.
4.) Design and architect ETL processes to support Tax requirements, such as processing of recipients and transactions.
5.) Good understanding of available technology, tools, and existing designs to source, map, extract and load large volumes of data.
6.) Design, develop, review code, write stored procedures, build and modify SSIS packages, make structural changes to tables and views using Agile development practices.
7.) Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported technology domain.

The preferred work location is Charlotte, NC. Preference will be given to those candidates that either currently live in or are willing to relocate to Charlotte, NC with no relocation assistance.

Required Qualifications
* 5+ years of software engineering experience
* A BS/BA degree or higher
* 7+ years of experience in translating business and functional requirements into conceptual, logical and physical data models
* 7+ years of SQL Server SSIS, SSRS and SSAS experience
* 7+ years of information technology systems design and planning experience; in data, systems, applications, or architecture
* 5+ years of C.NET experience
* 3+ years of Business Intelligence (BI) tool server administration experience
* 3+ years of experience with secure DevOps and deployment automation to cloud environments
* 2+ years of Microsoft Azure experience
* 2+ years of experience in one or combination of the following: leadership, coaching, training, and mentoring Data Scientists
* 2+ years of experience delivering ETL, data warehouse and data analytics capabilities on big-data architecture such as Hadoop
* 1+ years of experience with tax operations (tax withholding), tax compliance (tax laws) or tax reporting (1042-S/1099)

* Knowledge and understanding of data dimensional modeling
* Experience with Spark, Hive and Kafka
* 4+ years of experience with source coding in one or a combination of the following: GitHub, SVN(Subversion), TFVC (Team Foundation Version Control) or TFSGit (Team Foundation Server)
