Corporate & Investment Banking delivers a comprehensive suite of capital markets, banking, and financial products and services. A trusted partner to our clients, we provide corporate and transactional banking; commercial real estate lending and servicing; investment banking; equity; and fixed income solutions including sales, trading, and research capabilities to corporate, commercial real estate, government, and institutional clients across the globe.
Quantitative Corporate Finance is a client-facing group within the Wells Fargo Securities investment bank. This group advises clients on capital structure optimization and financial policy, including the following specific topics:
Debt structure benchmarking and optimization
Liquidity management
Return of capital
Cost of capital
Valuation multiple influences
Operating and financial risk assessment and hedging
The team prepares and presents client-ready pitch books, and maintains Excel- and PowerPoint-based systems for QCF analysis. These systems will include a significant automation component to speed the analytic work:
Retrieval and storage of company financial information, market rates information, and other vendor-supplied data
Rapid/agile prototyping of new analysis techniques in Excel
Automated Excel wiring, charting, and integration with PowerPoint
Maintenance of frequent-release model builds to be used by other members of the Corporate Finance team

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business units risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.
Required Qualifications
* 1+ year of capital markets industry experience; or 2+ years of financial services industry experience

* Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
* Strong analytical and quantitative skills
* Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
Other Desired Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
Excel-based three-statement company modeling
Undergraduate major or minor in a quantitative discipline (economics, mathematics, engineering)
Fundamentals of finance, corporate finance, and economics
Use of custom charting software within Excel
Facility with statistics, including regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and VaR calculation
Other desired qualifications are:
Masters degree in a quantitative discipline
Experience with designing, building, testing, and implementing statistical and Monte Carlo simulation based models
Completion of Level 2 of the CFA curriculum, or completion of a MBA with concentration in finance

* Registration for FINRA Series 79 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
* Registration for Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
* Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
