Western Digitals Consumer Solutions group is looking for an experienced, talented, highly motivated and enthusiastic Software Program Manager to join our Software Engineering team.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving execution of our software and services portfolio as well as cross-functional and executive-level communications. You will be tasked with defining necessary processes to improve productivity, engage with external partners as required and overall work for a globally distributed organization of talented software engineers. In addition, you will lead and manage a small and talented team of program managers on launching all software on our consumer products.

The ideal candidate for this role is an individual who enjoys working with fast-paced technical teams, who can roll up his/her sleeves and help figure out solutions to hard problems. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Hands on experience driving software development and processes
* Develop and manage end to end project plans and ensure on-time delivery
* Lead cross functional team members to deliver projects on time
* Proactively identity upcoming risks, inefficiencies, issues, and bottlenecks
* Effectively communicate status to cross functional teams as well as upper management
* Responsive and keen on process improvement to improve development efficiency and accountability
* Able to think strategically and tactically and to build consensus and collaborative teamwork to make programs successful
* Identify risks and mitigations required to meet schedules and quality.

REQUIRED:

* Bachelor of Science in Computer Science/Engineering or related technical degree
* 10+ years experience in program management
* Proficient with Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies
* Passionate about details and good at multitasking
* Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills
* Experience leading cross-organizational programs and experience holding teams and individuals accountable to timelines and deliverables
* Analytical and problem solving experience including experience collecting data points across projects
* Experience understanding product requirements and translating needs into plans
* Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking skills
* Prior Product Owner experience a plus
