Responsibilities

Supporting all phases of the underwriting process, including systems support. Provide operational support as needed to assure efficient operation of the underwriting team.

Specific Duties

* Produce policies and endorsements for underwriter review and delivery to our agents.
* Ensure the accurate and timely rating, booking and issuance of new business, endorsement, cancellation and renewal transactions.
* Provide timely and professional customer service to agents. Communicate, as needed, with agents to obtain information required to complete transactions. Answer agent questions, resolves agent problems on topics such as policy status and billing.
* Daily communication with Operations and Underwriting staff.
* Testing of system applications to support business initiatives from initial phase through completion / deployment.

May perform other functions as assigned.

Qualifications

High school degree or equivalent

* 3 years commercial insurance underwriting assistant experience.
* Multi-line rating experience.
* Knowledge of commercial coverages, endorsements, rules and regulations.
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Excellent interpersonal, decision making and analytical skills required.
* Ability to work in a team environment.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Excellent verbal and written skills.
