As the Manager, Environmental Compliance, you will manage the Supply Chain environmental compliance requirements, including developing, implementing and managing all environmental compliance programs and initiatives for the organization. What youll do on a typical day:
* Provide technical support and leadership for the environmental compliance program related to the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Emergency Response Planning, and the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act
* Oversee preparation and submission of environmental reports to federal, state and local agencies
* Develop and update environmental training modules, policies, procedures and job aids
* Conduct environmental training via webinar and track site training status
* Review and comment on site-developed environmental compliance work instructions
* Conduct site visits and audits, educate site leaders on environmental compliance requirements and implement corrective actions in a timely manner
* Provide coaching and training to site leaders as necessary to achieve a high awareness and understanding of program requirements; ensure content and frequency of training is appropriate
What you need to succeed at XPO:
At a minimum, youll need:
* 4 years of experience implementing environmental compliance programs
* General air permitting knowledge; some knowledge of the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (Tier 2), Clean Water Act (Stormwater), and Solid and Hazardous Waste regulations
* Ability to review environmental regulations, provide interpretation and translate into actionable terms through policies, procedures, training and plans
Itd be great if you also have:
* Bachelors degree in Environmental Chemistry, Environmental Health, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies or a related eld
* 4 years of managerial experience in an environmental role
* Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
