Position Summary: Core responsibilities will include coordination of personnel work schedules; assist with materials handling training of all department personnel on initial and recurrent processes and procedures.
The successful incumbent will drive successful safety, quality and delivery metrics through employee development of the non-exempt warehouse staff and through continuous improvement efforts by teaching, training and leading lean manufacturing events in the support warehouse procedures. Fill voids in staffing resources and responsibilities when necessary. Assist in the day-to-day operations of the department. Other duties will include maintaining accurate inventory in all designated warehouses and locations while keeping them clean and organized. Promote the importance of inventory accuracy and aid all other coworkers in all inventory movements. Assist and coordinate activities of employees engaged in receiving, transporting, order filling, and shipping.
Key Responsibilities: (Include but are not limited to the following):
* Following all safety requirements and cGMP requirements
* Follow understand and train on work instruction documents, standard operation procedures and standard works
* Participate in PPI (Practical Process Improvements), Lean and Continuous improvement activities including 5S activities
* Lay out daily work assignments
* Keep warehouse and staging area2019s tour ready at all times
* Be responsive to internal and external customers
* Strong Communications: between shifts, Employees, Customers and Management
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
* HS Diploma or equivalent
* Ability to lift 40lbs on a regular basis (May vary by department)
* Operate forklift 2013 Ability to become forklift certified
* Experience in using Oracle, MSExcel, MSWord and Master Control
* Inventory control experience strongly preferred
* Demonstrated leadership abilities
