The Manager of Corporate Reporting will be responsible for Close Processing, Budget Planning & Analysis, Financial Analysis, Reporting and G/L System
Job Responsibilities:
* Manage the monthly book close process for the corporate headquarters set of books in accordance with US GAAP and internal policies
* Prepare monthly financial statements and review for accuracy.
* Manage a team of three accountants in their daily functions. These include cash activity, FX analysis, intercompany transactions, accounting for long-term debt, and bank account reconciliations. Also included is journal entry approval for accruals and approval of account reconciliation
* Conduct research and provide relevant support for new accounting items. Ensure proper documentation and ensure Sarbanes Oxley compliance
* Perform analysis on actual vs. budget for IPG Corporate departments
* Identify and resolve issues/errors. Establish relationships and constant communication with department heads to assist in identifying gaps and cost savings
* Provide analysis and guidance to department heads and assist in developing budget updates
* Consolidate IPG Worldwide holding companies and ensure proper and timely submission of results, preparing fluctuation analysis
* Manage and record journal entries for various executive retirement plans on a monthly and quarterly basis
* Ensure proper recording of all hedge transactions, mainly fx, on a monthly and quarterly basis
* Liaison with the FP&A team for deliverables and business analysis required for consolidated reporting needs
* Support all aspects of ad hoc reporting and special projects
Job Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting Degree, CPA preferred
* 5 - 7 years progressive corporate accounting experience in large company
* Strong communication (verbal & written), analytic and technical research skills
* Attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple task/projects with limited guidance
* Thorough knowledge of general ledger, financial reporting and corporate procedures in accordance with GAAP
* Works well in a team environment
* Solid user of MS Office Suite (especially Excel)
* Knowledge of Hyperion, SAP a plus
