As the DMSMS Systems Engineer you will provide technical Obsolescence/ DMSMS (Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages) support.

The selected candidate for this position will be groomed to execute proactive obsolescence management. Efforts include coordination of proactive obsolescence management efforts across the obsolescence core team, design engineering, supply chain, and program management functions.

DESIRED SKILLS:

- A systems engineering background encompassing technical planning, systems integration, verification and validation, cost and risk analysis, and supportability and effectiveness for total platform systems.

- Design or component engineering background with solid understanding and applicability of technical principles, theories and concepts, applicable to obsolescence/DMSMS management.

Basic Qualifications:
Excellent oral and written communication, demonstrated project management and leadership skills are required.

Design or component engineering background with solid understanding and applicability of technical principles, theories and concepts, applicable to obsolescence/DMSMS management.

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered career, or journey, level
Desired Skills:
Demonstrated capability in providing technical representation with both suppliers and customers.

Ability in identifying and analyzing critical issues and recommending technical approaches.

Design or component engineer with solid understanding and applicability of technical principles, theories and concepts, applicable to obsolescence/DMSMS management.

Experience and/or background in System Engineering processes.

Ability to accomplish assigned tasks and projects in support of achieving program objectives. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
