Job description

Identify opportunities from vendor expenditure, instigating and leading purchasing processes to realize benefits. Ensure adherence to the IQVIA corporate purchasing policy which encourages vendor competition.

Extract spend data from accounts payable or other databases, create spend reports in various formats and carry out analysis to highlight potential opportunities.

Extract spend files from vendors to create baselines spend for key purchasing categories.

Identify purchasing programs where change will impact the business.

Act as purchasing lead for sourcing activities and present findings and recommendations to management as directed.

Identify and manage key team members for purchasing processes, obtain support from stakeholders and create requirements for purchasing exercises.

Act as Purchasing lead for sourcing activities and prepare and present findings/ recommendations to management.

Benchmark and validate opportunities by Requests for Information, and prepare and issue competitive Requests for Proposals.

Ensure adherence to the IQVIA Transnational corporate purchasing policy which encourages vendor competition.

Design vendor management programs, organize monthly and quarterly meetings, collect and monitor IQVIA data as input to the vendor performance reporting and prepare vendor performance scores for internal distribution.

Create and implement on-line auctions using eAuction technology.

Train other staff in the use of the eAuction technology.

Ensure purchase orders comply with contract terms and work to improve the efficiency of the purchase to pay process.

Perform other duties as assigned.

5 years' experience of which three should be in purchasing, supply chain management, materials management, procurement

Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
