Linde U.S. Gases is currently seeking a Fill Zone Production Technician in East Chicago, IN.

Under the routine direction of the manager, will be responsible for a variety of Cryogenic trailer filling duties in the facility Fill Zone production area. Facility consists of an ISO/FDA/QA/EPA/PSM/OSHA air separation/cryogenic liquification environment where products include oxygen, nitrogen, argon, and hydrogen. Monitors equipment performance and makes minor adjustments such as set-ups, calibrations, troubleshooting, and product testing. Must know when to call other specialists when more serious malfunctions occur. Measures and records various data associated with operating equipment. Utilizes standard repair procedures when necessary. Responsibilities/duties are typically focused and routine at this level. ISO/FDA/QA/EPA/OSHA/PSM experience preferred.

Candidates would be working with rotating and/or process equipment that the technician maintains. Gauges, valves, pressure switches, transmitters, process analyzers, etc. The candidates should have a general background in instrumentation and/or electrical, including PLC's with a strong mechanical aptitude. The candidates will operate Cryogenic trailer filling activities from the computer. Minor repair and diagnostic troubleshooting may be required.

Job requires working outdoors year-round, climbing 150' tall columns, some heavy lifting, using man-lifts, forklifts and driving semi-trucks within the plant site. Fluent computer skills required. Must be willing to work overtime as required and be on call. Some local and overnight travel maybe required.

Qualifications:

High School diploma; Associate Degree in Process Technology Preferred

2 to 6 years Production Operations experience
