State Illinois Job Description Responsible for overseeing the supply chain process of demand planning, forecasting, and replenishment planning for national accounts. Provides leadership to other members of the supply chain team and takes on the demand and replenishment planner role to manage the process after the system has been implemented. Hands-on responsibility for developing and executing demand and replenishment plans enabling PFG to assist customers in meeting their inventory and service objectives. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Lead cross-functional teams during launch, delivery, and maintenance of the process.
Demand planning to include, but not limited to: working closely with customers and purchasing, reviewing recommended sales forecasts and inventory goals with emphasis on product transitions, new product introduction, and promotions; establishing and utilizing best methods (statistical models and software tools) in creating forecasts and respective inventory targets; and evolving and maintaining documentation and standard operating procedures for demand planning processes and systems.
Assemble and analyze all data pertinent to creating the sales forecast (historical sales, market trends, seasonality, promotions, and eventually customer Point Of Sale (POS) and inventory levels). Prepare, report, and communicate forecast and inventory measurements to customers and purchasing (forecast accuracy, inventory plan vs. targets).
Replenishment planning to include, but not limited to: managing inventory targets, including safety stock levels, at customer stores that are approved by customers and PFG management; and determining daily replenishment quantity to meet the demand plan and desired inventory targets.
Collaborate with customers in managing exceptions related to demand or replenishment plan forecasting.
Continuously improve forecasting techniques, method and approach and the overall replenishment planning process to improve customer service and reduction of cost.
Deploy technology enabling the process.

3- 5 years of experience in forecasting, inventory and replenishment specifically in demand management / forecasting tools and key inventory performance metrics, turns, cost of procurement, etc. Strong knowledge of demand planning process within retail, wholesale distribution, consumer and/or packaged goods. Experience in leading cross functional teams. Preferred Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management, business, finance or related area:
3- 5 years of experience in forecasting, inventory and replenishment specifically in demand management / forecasting tools and key inventory performance metrics, turns, cost of procurement, etc. Basic understanding of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP;). Strong knowledge of demand planning process within retail, wholesale distribution, consumer and/or packaged goods. Experience in leading cross functional teams.
