This position sits within the Power Generation Division which is responsible for all of NextEra Energy's non-nuclear generation operations, exceeding 40,000 megawatts (MW) of installed capacity.
This role will support the Cost Tracking team in all aspects of capital tracking including forecasting, budgeting, Place in Service, ADAF, month end close, capital expenditure process as well as Department of Energy reporting.
This position can be based at any of the NextEra Wind Site locations and/or Juno Beach
Job Overview
Employees in this role support the cost management and internal controls activities for the Power Generation Division. Individuals in this position perform a wide range of complex clerical and administrative assistance duties.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Under limited supervision:
* Maintains records
* Retrieves and compiles data
* Compiles financial reports for budget, variance, and cost tracking
* Completes month-end close duties
* Ensures all transactions are in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley
* Assists with accounts payable activities when necessary
* Performs other job-related duties as assigned
