Security Technician
We are currently seeking a Security Technician for our Norfolk, VA location.
You will demonstrate success by:
* Assembling and installing, programming, and testing of equipment and cabling associated with Integrated Security Access Control Systems including IDS Alarm Systems, CCTV IP and Analog Systems, Intercom Systems and Physical ID/Identification Systems.
* Installing connectors on multi-conductor cables and performing continuity tests.
* Installing door strikes, magnetic locks, intelligent panels, power supplies, and other components of a mechnical nature and following specifications, instructions, and standard procedures.
* Reading wiring schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
Qualifications:
* Must have High School Diploma / GED
* Two (2) years knowledge of industry requirements/standards for UL-2050, ICD 705.36, NIST, and HSPD12 preferred.
* Training/Certifications associated with manufacturer's security systems preferred but not required.
* Experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting various parts of DoD Technical Equipment/Systems, computerized control equipment is a definite plus.
* Must be eligible for DCJS Certification, Valid State Driver's License, and U.S. Governemt Secret Clearance.
* US Navy ET-A School or equivalent is helpful.
* Redundant Servers Migration Experience is a plus.
* Must be a U.S. Citizen
