Title: Part-Time Student-Agronomic Information Researcher-JDTIC Champaign IL - 71868

The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Companys regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule.

Your Responsibilities

As a Part-Time Student for John Deeres Agronomy/Production Systems Teams, located at the Research Park-John Deere Technology Innovation Center (JDTIC) in Champaign, Illinois, you will:

* Investigate/locate research studies that address specific agronomic hypotheses.
* Synthesize and summarize key aspects of the printed research into tabular format.
* Identify and communicate related topics that may build or enhance the scientific understanding beyond the specific hypothesis.

You will work in a fun, friendly, and fast paced environment with other team members to analyze and find conclusions around different agronomic practices.

What Skills You Need

* Currently enrolled in Library & Information Science or Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences or a related field of study
* Graduation date of December 2021 or later
* Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
* Must be able to commute to the work location on a daily basis
* 16-20 hours/week during the academic year
* 35-40 hours/week during the summer semester
* Ability to be productive without direct supervision
* Ability to listen to requests and communicate with internal customers to establish clear research outcomes regarding specific agronomic conditions or practices
* Basic skills working in Excel
* Ability to work independently while contributing to high productivity within a team environment

What Makes You Stand Out

* Currently enrolled in a Masters program in the Library & Information Science or Agricultural, Consumer, and Environmental Sciences, or a related career field
* Experience and strong skills in reviewing scientific research and extracting key elements of the projects
