PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVE OF POSITION Describe the purpose of this position:
Implement promotional plans and strategies aligned with company plans of action for BMS products, through calls and visits to physicians (sub-specialists), pharmacies and related personnel. Develop relationships with new and existing customers (ie. Physicians, Pharmacies, Nursing and office staff). Provide product knowledge and information to customers ethically complying with corporate mission and values. Plan and execute educational or medical established activities, demonstrating BMS behaviors at all times.
* Promote and sell BMS pharmaceutical products to established and potential customers (Thought Leaders, Physicians, Department Directors, Key Decision Makers in key accounts, Hospital Directors, Nursing staff, Specialty Pharmacies, etc.)
* Prepare and update physician and customer profiles
* Interact with customers on one-to-one sessions,
* Present at sales team meetings and stand-up presentations
* Explain treatment and benefits to customers in order to treat the disease accordingly.
* Demonstrate in-depth product, market and competitors knowledge
* Proactively maintain abreast of changes in their medical field
* Maintain a continuous professional relationship with the key opinion leaders
* Discuss characteristics, benefits and clinical studies pertaining to assigned pharmaceutical products with key customers and other potential customers (i.e. Key Opinion Leaders, Manage Healthcare Organizations and Specialty Pharmacies)
* Responsible for achieving assigned territory sales goals. Prepares activities report reflecting territory promotion and selling activities.
* Evaluates results versus established objectives
* Prepare business reviews presentations of assigned territories and/or customers
* Coordinate promotional activities
* Analyze territory TRxs performance data and identifies areas for improvement
* Develops territory plan in alignment with approved district, region and national plan
* Develops and follows daily itinerary and routing schedule to meet call plan goals
* Develops customer-specific action plans with measurable outcomes and time frames as needed
* Complies and operates under strict compliance with BMS Code of Business Conduct and other regulators such as: Pharma Code and the Office of Inspector General
* Comply with all policies and procedures related to the maintenance of assigned company property such as: automobile, cellular phone, iPads and computer equipment
* Manage special projects, assignments and/or tasks as assigned by the manager.
