Argo Group has an exciting opportunity for a Service Manager located in our San Antonio, TX and Chicago, IL offices. The Service Manager would be responsible for managing the delivery of one or more application services, working with vendor partners, IT, and service users to ensure IT services defined by statements of work and service level agreements are met. This person must possess technical knowledge of applications and application support process and be highly skilled in communication, persuading others and result/outcome orientation.

Key Responsibilities:

Business OperationsStakeholder Management:

Responsible to stakeholder communicationandmanagement of various operational business users (UW, Claims, Billing and Finance), andleadership.
Manage IT escalationsandincidentsandrecommend operational improvements.
Plan and deliver the system enhancements throughdefined release cycles as per business priority and operational budget.

Product Vendor Management:

Responsible for working withproduct vendors to deliver monthly releases timely.
Establish strong relationship with senior management to escalate product issues for a priority off cycle delivery.
Responsible for implementing Argochange managementprincipleson vendor related changes.
Review and processincoming invoices.

ApplicationSupport & TeamManagement:

Responsible for managingService Level Agreements on incidentsandmaintenance service requests raised by various business units.
Responsible for accurateandtimely month end reporting.
Responsiblefor definingenhancement release cycles and managingtheirdelivery by implementing standard SDLC.
Support Infrastructure initiatives such asserver patches,end oflife and security related enhancements.

IT Audit & Change Management:

Support the IT Audit team by assisting inclarifying,prioritizingthe inquiries and working with support team to deliver the evidences
As member of Change Advisory board committee, responsible to review the weekly IT changes for completeness and approval

Qualifications:

Experience planning, managing and delivering information technology support for business applications to meet organizational goals, service level agreements and statements of work.
Experience in providing direct support for various business applications.
Experience working with SDLC and ITIL processes.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or a combination of education, training and experience that equates to the required degree.

Knowledge in Oracle / SQL server
Knowledge in .net Applications
