Job Summary

Benefits Administration provides support and services for employer groups, brokers and regional offices for processes related to billing, payments, and account management.

The Specialist will research, analyze, resolve and respond to inquiries; provide support in the development and maintenance of business processes for customers to achieve desired business results. Respond to escalated customer requests regarding premiums and refunds.

Key Responsibilities

* Research, analyze and resolve discrepancies; prepare and communicate reconciliation reports to employers
* Build and maintain relationships with key employers, brokers and regional offices
* Provide ongoing support and training for team members on policies and standards
* Manages suspense account entries using established regulatory standards
* Identifies and recommends opportunities for process improvement
* Complete Customer Focus Interaction initiative using established procedures to meet goals
* Document and execute processes with minimal direction from leadership
* Coordinate special projects for accurate resolution
* Determine appropriate issues to escalate and assist management with resolution
* Continuously build skills and knowledge through coaching and feedback and participating in ongoing training; including rotation in at least one other area in the department
* Function effectively and collaboratively in a team environment

Job Qualifications

* High School Diploma/GED
* 2 year degree or 3 years insurance, accounting or customer service experience
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
* Advanced level of understanding of Benefit Administration's business area processes and impact to internal and external partners
* Detailed understanding of multiple systems to access data
* Demonstrate innovation and process improvement skill set
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and organizational skills

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation, which includes a drug screen.
