Work Hours/Shift:
PRN (Days, Nights, Weekends, Call, and Holidays are required)
You Will Be Responsible For:
* Performs quality Ultrasound studies upon orders of licensed practitioner
* Verifies physician order prior to scanning
* Assures proper positioning and protocol for each exam and provides quality post processed images
* Obtains complete, current history of patient and reason for exam
* Accurate data input in Star in correct exam order
* Accurate notes in PACS upon completion of study and verification of all images sent to PACS for each exam
* Accurate use of Injector usage and safety
* Demonstrate effective communication with physicians and team members
Qualifications
What You Will Need:
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* 0-2 years experience
* Graduate of a JRCERT approved Radiology program
* RT, R, CT registered and/or ARDMS registry/registry eligible
* BLS
Job Summary:
This position contributes to the mission and goals of the department by providing quality CT and Ultrasound exams to those patients, from infancy to geriatrics, and their families, undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in Imaging Services. Essential Duties: Performs quality CT and Ultrasound studies upon orders of a licensed practitioner, assures patient safety, assures staff safety. Assures both quality CT and Ultrasound studies for interpretation by the Radiologists. Provides accurate computer documentation
