Champion's company and division customer service programs to meet and/or exceed the division's customer satisfaction measurement goals.
* Handles customer relations in a positive matter, including effective resolution of customer complaints.
* Promotes Division's philosophy of personalized service.
* Provides fast, friendly, courteous and legendary customer service, improves customer relations, and performs cashiering duties and supervisory functions on cash registers. Serve as overflow cashier when necessary.
* Engages in suggestive selling and other sales techniques.
* Must be able to work various shifts based on customer traffic. Division shift expectation is 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
* Directs and supervises front end activities including: monitoring customer traffic and service level, coordinates and implements front end service programs, maintains cleanliness standards, be proactive in maintaining safety and appearance of front end area.
* Assists with the interviewing and hiring of front end personnel.
* Trains front end management, cashiers and courtesy clerks. Also monitors their compliance.
* Monitors and responsible for inventories and ordering of front end supplies and merchandise.
* Ensure that front end is operational and that it projects a positive image.
* Handles and is accountable for cash flow and controls including but not limited to: safe transactions, issues and pickups of monies, cash register tills, approving checks, rain checks and refunds, and monitoring cashier money handling policies and procedures.
* Handles scan system emergency procedures, UPC codes that are not on file, hard to scan UPC's, scan pricing errors and system failures and other retail integrity issues.
* Supervises front end employees, makes recommendations for employment status changes and discipline to Store Director.
* Responsible for cost and quality control and maintaining a constant awareness of customer and employee safety.
* Enforces dress and grooming standards for all employees.
* Assists with controlling shrink and prevents the sale of out of code product.
* Responsible for performing all job duties and responsibilities safely, accurately and with honesty and integrity.
* Will include other necessary and required duties as directed and required.

Skaggs to open his first Albertsons store on 16th and State Streets in Boise, Idaho. determination to run the best store, the first store thrived. Just two years later, he had opened two other stores in neighboring communities and grew the fledgling company’s sales to over $1 million by the end of 1941.
