The Asset-Backed Finance team is searching for a first year Analyst to join the group in the Charlotte, NC office.
These individuals are part of a formal training/rotational program within the securities and Investment Banking and Capital Markets Divisions and are on a defined career path to be Associates and are directly involved in client activities.
The Asset-Backed Securitization & Lending (ABS&L) group within Asset-Backed Finance provides financing (warehouse, permanent, term) and capital markets execution to companies that originate or invest in non-mortgage consumer and commercial receivables including credit cards, auto loans/leases/floorplan, timeshare, equipment, operating assets, whole business and unsecured consumer loans.
The candidate will assist in the marketing, origination, execution and portfolio management of lending facilities and capital markets transactions. The role involves working as part of a client coverage team in creating pitch books, marketing materials for securitizations, developing rating agency presentations, term sheets, underwriting memos, as well as negotiating legal documentation. The candidate will support senior bankers on the deal team, through active involvement in all aspects of the deal origination and execution process. Additionally, the candidate will closely partner with various constituencies across Wells Fargo, including Credit Risk, Sales and Trading, Syndicate, Coverage Banking, DCM, Leverage Finance, Compliance, and Legal.

Required Qualifications
* 1+ year of financial services industry experience; or a BS/BA degree or higher obtained prior to program start date

Other Desired Qualifications
* Prior experience at an investment bank, asset manager or similar financial services firm.
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or Math.
* Experience in structured finance or capital markets.
* Some product knowledge, technical expertise, transaction execution and negotiation skills.
* Experience with securitized and asset-backed products.
* Strong ability to interact with senior executives and clients in a confident and professional manner.
* Demonstrated experience in analyzing financial statements.
* Experience in using excel to perform data analysis and/or modeling, as well as to organize/summarize/present data along with proficiency at Word, PowerPoint and working knowledge with Bloomberg.
* Willingness to work long hours in a demanding environment with very little margin for error.
* Sense of personal accountability and urgency for achieving results.
* Dedication to building a career in the financial services industry.
