Software Engineers in Wells Fargos Fraud Risk team develop innovative approaches to external impacts to prevent and stop Fraud for our financial services to millions of customers. Fraud Risk Software Engineers are part of an Agile team, partnering with groups worldwide, to solve challenging and interesting technical problems.

This position is part of the Fraud Risk team under Consumer and Small Business Banking Technology that manages Wells Fargo Fraud Risk strategies and support for our 40+ million customers 24/7/365 days. Our Mission is to support our companys Vision & Values by delivering; maintaining and supporting high quality software solutions that provide our customers with outstanding protection and support for any possible impacts to their online, mobile and purchasing experiences helping them manage their financial needs and limiting their exposure to possible fraud.

In this position, the Software Engineer will be responsible for building highly scalable, distributed, event-driven, fault-tolerant, API-based enterprise applications in a scaled agile ecosystem. Candidates will need to be strong in structured coding practices, Java, J2EE, JUnit, Spring, RESTful services and preferably Kafka knowledge. They will participate in the growth of a framework that has to deliver 1+ billion transactions a month throughout our fraud environment.

The engineer will contribute new ideas to improve processes, practices and culture. Fraud Risk engineers are given the opportunity to innovate and experiment with new technology, encouraged to participate in contests & hackathons along with presenting the ideas to other organizations.

This position can be based at the Wells Fargo site location in Charlotte (NC) and Chandler (AZ).

Required Qualifications
* 5+ years of software engineering experience
* 4+ years of RESTful or SOAP web services
* 4+ years of experience with Spring, Spring Batch, and Spring Boot
* 2+ years of experience testing using Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and Test Driven Development (TDD)
* 5 + years of J2EE experience
* 5+ years of Java experience

Desired Qualifications
* An industry-standard technology certification
* Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
* Ability to design, develop, and implement large scale/complex software applications
* Knowledge and understanding of design and development of modern web applications and mobile technologies
* Knowledge and understanding of Splunk
* Knowledge and understanding of technical writing
* Knowledge and understanding of test driven application development
* 2+ years of MQ Series Messaging experience

Other Desired Qualifications
* Extensive Experience working Java 8
* Experience with Open API 3.0
* Experience with JSON schema
* Experience with build automation tool like Maven or Gradle
* 2+ years of experience in building cloud-native conversion strategies
* 2+ years of experience in building and deploying microservices and cross channel restful APIs
