Corporate & Investment Banking delivers a comprehensive suite of capital markets, banking, and financial products and services. A trusted partner to our clients, we provide corporate and transactional banking; commercial real estate lending and servicing; investment banking; equity; and fixed income solutions including sales, trading, and research capabilities to corporate, commercial real estate, government, and institutional clients across the globe.
The CIB Banking Analytics Consultant will be responsible for providing enhanced data, analytic, and reporting capabilities for the CIB Coverage, M&A, and Capital Markets (Asset-Backed Finance, Debt Capital Markets, and Equity Capital Markets) lines of business. Part of the CIB Banking Analytics team, this role will partner closely with CIB business leaders, banking teams, line of business COOs, the CIB Data Framework team, Enterprise Information Technology (EIT), and various support groups across the enterprise.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Provide ad-hoc reporting and analytic support across the CIB Banking teams (Coverage, M&A, and Capital Markets)
* Develop and expand relationships with CIB leadership, line of business COOs, Enterprise Information Technology (EIT), and various support groups
* Serve as an extension of the line of business COO teams by providing analytic support for strategic initiatives and day-to-day business management efforts
* Prototype new reports and work closely with CIB Data Framework and EIT to prioritize, govern, and optimize recurring production reports and dashboards
* Synthesize data and provide distilled and actionable recommendations based on in-depth analysis, and provide polished output in a format appropriate for executive leadership
* Be a visionary for new metrics, analytics and data needs, thinking creatively to connect the dots where others cannot, and clearly articulate and execute the vision
* Develop, pilot, and launch new and leading analytic capabilities to generate greater insights from data, and build visualizations that expose the health and performance of our business
* Champion the business case for a data-driven CIB organization by providing actionable, fact-based business insight and analysis
* Contribute thought leadership across the organization utilizing technical, domain, and business knowledge
* Meet the needs of each line of business supported while ensuring conformance with data integrity standards
* Stay current on new data and reporting technologies and actively participate in proof of concept (PoC) efforts
* Partner with other areas of CIB and Wholesale to share best practices and collaborate on new initiatives

Required Qualifications
* 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling demonstrated through work or military experience; or a Masters degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling
Desired Qualifications
* Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis
* Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
* Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
* 5+ years of investment banking experience
* 5+ years of capital markets experience
* Knowledge and understanding of OBIEE (Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition)
* Knowledge and understanding of the Corporate & Investment Banking Chief Operating Office (COO) organization
* Experience in problem analysis, solution implementation, and change management
* Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
* 4+ years of Tableau experience
* 5+ years of banking industry experience
* 5+ years of SQL experience
Other Desired Qualifications
* 2+ years of experience in one or combination of the following: investment banking, investment management, or capital markets
* Ability to research and report on a variety of issues using problem solving skills
