What you'll do...

We are seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager professional in our Hoboken, NJ office.

Duties: Monitor the search program, guide multiple teams and interdependent projects, plan requirements, create timelines, track progress, identify and solve cross-team risks/dependencies, produce status reports, and communicate information clearly to project stakeholders. Utilize knowledge of distributed systems and modern technologies to drive technical discussion and reach consensus and exercise technical judgment in solving software engineering challenges. Conduct technical analysis, including data mining and prototyping, to drive key technology initiatives. Design pragmatic solutions to ensure that technical solutions are flexible and forward-looking while remaining simple and straightforward. Resolve technical and business ambiguity to deliver a clear vision and technical solutions for projects and programs. Define and implement process improvements and agile and scrum best practices across the development teams. Develop tools and automation to improve software engineering productivity and efficiency. This position does not supervise other employees.

Minimum education and experience required: Masters degree or equivalent in Engineering (Any), Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or related field and 2 years of technical project management experience; OR Bachelors degree or equivalent in Engineering (Any), Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or related field and 5 years of technical project management experience; OR 7 years of technical project management experience.

Skills required: Experience coding in an object-oriented programming language. Experience with object-oriented analysis and design principles. Experience with data analysis, data mining, machine learning, and visualization using one of the following tools: R or MS Excel. Experience with distributed systems and cloud computing principles and concepts, including client-server architecture and mobile systems architecture. Experience with SQL and relational database management, and data warehousing design and implementation. Experience with RESTful web service design and implementation. Experience using project management and workplace collaboration tools including MS Project, Confluence, and JIRA. Experience with project and program management and Software Development Life Cycle concepts including Waterfall and Agile. Experience with stakeholder management and negotiation.
