Job Summary:

The Principal Project/Program Manager will identify, plan and coordinate a set of related projects within a program, to manage their interdependencies in support of specific business strategies across Cast and Park Operations Technology (CPO). The Principal Project/Program Manager maintains a strategic view over the set of projects and provides the framework for implementing business initiatives while applying project management principles, practices, and techniques. They are a recognized industry expert who mentors and coaches the project management team on continued application of project management best practices. They are responsible for applying professional principles, practices, and techniques to mentor and coach project and associate project managers, and lead program and project teams. This position is primarily responsible for the management of programs that deliver DPECP Technology services to the organization. They have ultimate responsibility for all assigned projects to the program and manages customer satisfaction, definition, planning, monitoring, and others aspects of the program.

Responsibilities:

* Provides thought leadership and process expertise on project and program management
* Identifies, plans, and coordinates a set of related projects within a program, to manage their interdependencies in support of specific business strategies
* Develops and implements long-term goals and objectives to achieve the successful outcome of the program
* Participates in the annual budgeting and operating plan to support the program
* Successfully assesses program and project risks and formulates mitigation plans, successfully develops and updates project budgets as required, and delivers successful programs and projects in a timely and cost-efficient manner as shown by project statistics
* Leads and directs high-priority matrix projects, which often require considerable resources and high levels of functional integration and interaction with project sponsors and teams
* Identifies and evaluates the risks associated with program activities and takes appropriate action to mitigate the risks
* Continually reviews available resources to maintain first-hand knowledge of where resources can be best allocated; reevaluates current resources to determine project resource surplus and shortfalls
* Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews deliverables
* Tracks progress and reviews program and project activities to make certain deadlines are met appropriately
* Ensures all program stakeholders receive orientation and appropriate training in accordance with organizational standards
* Communicates with clients and other stakeholders to gain support for the program or specific projects, and to solicit input to improve the program
* Works collaboratively with development staff and support staff to maintain thorough knowledge of capabilities, and to ensure precise communications between project teams and stakeholders
* Creates program presentations and reports for executive leadership, program sponsors and stakeholders
* Supports CPO Program/Project Management Office initiatives

Basic Qualifications:

* Four-year college degree in Information Technology, Business or related field
* 10+ years of project/program management experience (such as: Project Lead, SCRUM Master, Agile Coach) working with technical teams developing enterprise class solutions
* 4+ years of Technical Project Management experience in a related industry
* Hands-on experience with practices such as Agile, Lean, Kanban, Waterfall as well as extensive experience with pragmatic blending of styles to facilitate collaboration and delivery
* Deep understanding of Agile technical practices, DevOps and testing concepts (CI/CD, TDD)
* Significant experience in coaching and mentoring teams on project management practices including Agile, Lean, Kanban, Waterfall
* Excellent ability to understand architectural and technical aspects of projects
* Excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal) and time management skills with attention to detail
* Experience with Agile Application Lifecycle Management and development tools like JIRA, Confluence Wiki
* Experience with budget tracking and complex cost-benefit analysis
* Experience managing and prioritizing projects within the program and working seamlessly with various stakeholders in a matrix organization
* Experience in leading, supporting, and working with matrix project teams
* Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Preferred Qualifications:

* Technical project management experience in Workforce Management or a related field
* Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
* Experience in supporting travel trade, hospitality, and/or large scale businesses and logistics systems
* Agile Certifications ie CSM; ACP; CPO; SAFe; LeSS
