Basic Job Functions:

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

The Network Technician works with the IT Department and Maintenance teams to maintain and optimize the camera infrastructure and support other network needs throughout the plant. This role requires a comprehesive knowledge of networking concepts, as well as networking security protocols and procedures. The successful candidate will maintain equipment and infrastructure in support of a 24/7 manufacturing operation.

Minimum Qualifications:

4 yr degree in Information Technology or a related field
3+ years of networking experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of Cisco Switches
1+ year working with Panasonic cameras
1+ year working in VI MonitorPlus
Related Certifications
1+ year experience in Industrial Environment

This segment also engages in the piling distribution business. The Raw Materials segment produces direct reduced iron (DRI); processes ferrous and nonferrous metals; brokers ferrous and nonferrous metals, pig iron, DRI, and hot briquetted iron; supplies ferro-alloys; and processes ferrous and nonferrous scrap metal, as well as engages in the natural gas drilling operations. This segment sells its ferrous scrap to electric arc furnace steel mills and foundries for manufacturing process; and nonferrous scrap metal to aluminum can producers, secondary aluminum smelters, steel mills and other processors, and consumers of various nonferrous metals.

The company offers its products through its in-house sales forces; and internal distribution and trading companies. The company was founded in 1940 and is based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
