Introduction
At IBM, work is more than a job its a calling: To build. To design. To code. To consult. To think along with clients and sell. To make markets. To invent. To collaborate. Not just to do something better, but to attempt things youve never thought possible. Are you ready to lead in this new era of technology and solve some of the worlds most challenging problems? If so, lets talk.
Your Role and Responsibilities
The Sector Solution Team (SST) Architect directly support Hybrid MultiCloud Go-to-Market sales/proposal efforts where they translates Federal client business requirements into specific systems, applications, or process designs for large, complex information technology solutions and integrating architecture. The SST Architect determines technical feasibility of business requests/requirements, conducts impact analysis of the proposed solutions to other parts of the application/system components, identifies alternative technical solutions to satisfy business needs. As appropriate, SST Architects support both WBS-based cost estimation and parametric (top-down) estimation methods for the solutions they create. Youll be accountable for:
* Owning overall technical solution
* Technical viability/deliverability
* Applying design to cost practices and architecture principles for decisions, functional decomposition, sizing and nonfunctional requirements, and sound/creative implementation approaches to meet client needs, including awareness / applied reuse of existing client enterprise technologies/practices
* Creating/leading Basis of Estimate (BOE)
* Anticipating likely competitor solutions and creating compelling solution differentiation
* Creating summary of opportunity scope and alignment w/ offerings + gaps
* Creating POVs / whitepapers and generating provocative technical conversations with clients
* Leading by example: driving and putting pen to paper [create OV1s / frame solution / integrate technical inputs across team]
